Repeat Prescriptions

greenpillsPatients on regular medication will require prescriptions and, for a safer and speedier service, repeat prescriptions are computerised. You must see a doctor at the surgery the first time you need regular medication after you have registered. Your doctor will have entered onto the computer what medication you are taking, and each time a new prescription is written by the computer a new request form is also generated for you to make your next request.

You can also order your repeat prescription by following the link on this page to the online request form. You will need to carry out the simple, one-off registration first which will require an access code from us. Please pop in and ask our reception staff for the access code and they will be happy to set that up for you.

Please ensure that you keep your request slip.

  • Allow 48 hours for your prescription to be processed.
  • If required, please indicate on the repeat prescription request form where you would like the prescription sent. Please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope if appropriate.
  • Either deliver or post your repeat prescription request form to the surgery.
  • If you are receiving any medication which is not on your request form, see the doctor.
  • All patients on repeat medication will be booked an appointment to see their doctor at least once a year for a medication review.

Please note you may log back into the online repeat prescriptions site at any time to view the status of your request. Once the request has been processed you will be able to see if you have been approved.

Approved Status Description
Approved Your script is approved and will be waiting for you at your requested pick up point
Partially Approved You have made requests for multiple drugs, some have been approved however some have not, please see below
Not Approved Your request has not been approved for some reason, see below

Any request not approved is probably due to your repeat prescription being used up or your drug was not prescribed as a repeat in the first place. Please call the practice to book an appointment to see a Nurse or Doctor to get your script approved.
