The Student Health Centre (formerly known as Campus Clinic) has moved to new premises situated in the Aston University Health Clinics Building, behind the Library on Campus.
Opening Times (Under Graduate Term Time only)
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10.30 - 15.30
- Tuesday 09.00 - 11.30 & 14.00 - 16.30
The Student Health Centre is a Nurse Led Clinc and is available by appointment for treatment of minor illness, sexual health screening, dressings, removal of sutures, ear syringing, asthma check, diabetic check, blood test and smears. (Please see the Appointment Types Page for a full list of Nurse and HCA Appointments, all of which, except Vaccinations/Immunisations, can be performed at the Student Health Centre)
The nurses & HCAs can deal with minor ailments such as tonsillitis, chest infections, cystitis, flu, minor sports injuries, asthma, diabetic monitoring and contraceptive advice.
New for 2012 - Doctor appointments will be available at the Student Health Centre on Tuesday mornings 09.00 - 11.30 (Female GP) and Wednesday afternoons 12.00 - 14.00 (Male GP).
The Student Health Centre will be open between Monday-Friday 09.00 - 16.00 during both International Freshers Week (17th - 21st September) and main Freshers Week (24th September - 28th September) for Students to register with the Practice. Booked appointments will be available from Monday 1st October.
Antenatal Care
Appointments for antenatal care are made during normal surgery hours. The doctor will advise you when to attend.
Baby/Child Vaccinations, Baby Clinics And Child Health
It is strongly advised that our youngest patients are kept up to date with their immunisations. Please make appointments at reception. We run a Baby Clinic on Friday Mornings between 10am and 12pm.
Adult Immunisations And Travel Vaccinations
Adult immunisations include influenza immunisation for those patients aged 65 and over and other at risk patients, e.g. those patients diagnosed with asthma or diabetes.

Vision Services
The Department of Vision Sciences houses an Optometry Clinic which is open to staff and students of the University and the general public.
Counselling Service
The University Counselling Service, situated in room G16 in the main building Aston University, offers help to students on a wide range of issues. Counselling sessions are confidential and are not recorded on your medical records.
